Colourline have signed a long term exclusive trading agreement with Espai Sistemas, who are Spain’s premier aluminium system designers and manufacturers of bi fold doors.  Based near Valencia, Espai Sistemas have designed a range of eleven folding sliding concertina door systems which have been sold around the world for almost two decades, now Colourline are pleased to fabricate these bi folding doors at our premises in Sussex.

Colourline 80 Series Aluminium Bi-Folding Door

If you are planning to fully open your property/conservatory in order to utilise your outside living space or, to create a swimming pool enclosure, the 80 Series of aluminium bi folding doors are the choice for you.  They have been designed with the UK’s cooler climate in mind and utilise a state of the art polyamide thermal barrier.  The 80 Series will keep warmth within the property and the cold out and yet suffer no condensation.

55 Series Aluminium Bi-Folding Door

The 55 Series Bi-Folding Door is a non-thermally broken system which is used around the world for countless applications.  In the UK the system is ideally suited for internal or commercial use.  This door is the perfect solution for intermediate openings between the house and conservatory or extension in addition it can be used to sub-divide any internal space. “It is the ultimate room divider!”

The 55 Series has been fully utilised within the commercial sector.  It is widely used as an internal room divider within public houses, restaurants and hotels.  On countless occasions it has also been used to reclaim courtyards and pavements transforming wasted space into an outside eating zone or to fully open the front of the premises to enable alfresco dining here in the UK.

Our Systems

We fabricate the ESPO 80 and 55 series of bi-folding patio doors.  Both systems have ultra slimline with a mere 127mm from glass to glass, so whichever you choose the natural light will flood in.

However, don’t be fooled by the slim lines.  The systems are strong, secure and extremely durable.  The Research and Development Department at ESPO has produced a full range of hardware and weatherseals specifically for the 80 and 55 series.  No matter which system you choose you can rest assured that every part has been manufactured to perform perfectly within the system as a whole.

The ESPO 80 and 55 series of bi folding doors are top running as standard which allows great flexibility with the threshold track.  A total of four threshold solutions are available including a fully flush threshold enabling a seamless transition from inside to the outside space.  Either system can span large openings – 15 metres plus would pose no problem – there really is no limit.  In addition, by utilising the ‘R’ version, openings with a height in excess of three metres can easily be accommodated.

High Security

In partnership with ESPO, we have developed a range of locking mechanisms and hinges especially designed for systems in the UK market.  The main/traffic panel is fitted with a high security, stainless steel, key operated multi point lock.  All intermediate panels have concealed shootbolts that lock securely into the top and bottom tracks.  The client is also able to specify our unique double security concealed shootbolts with key locking for some or all intermediate doors.  Because we know how important security is Colourline incorporates high security cylinders into all key operated locks at no additional cost.  All external hinges have been designed with security in mind – the stainless steel hinge pin is protected with a fixing screw that is only accessible when the bifold doors are open.

Weather Tight

All panels are fitted with triple weather gaskets which easily compress to ensure excellent weather proofing performance.  ESPO doors are subjected to the most stringent European atmospheric tests and demonstrate a high level of weather protection and resistance to wind, rain and other external factors.
